How we do it

Our on-vehicle DPF cleaning process

We assess the fault first, then clean and test the DPF if it’s suitable.

Diagnostic assessment

We check soot levels, regeneration history and fault codes to investigate the blockage.

Chemical DPF clean

We use a 2-part chemical clean and flush to break down soot build-up.

Forced regeneration

We use diagnostic equipment to run a controlled regeneration.

Reset & testing

We reset the system and test the results before handover. We’ll explain any faults that still need attention.

We check the data before we clean

We check the diagnostic data before cleaning. If another fault needs attention, we’ll explain it and quote any extra work first.

How much does DPF cleaning cost?

From $650 at our North Lakes workshop for passenger diesels, 4WDs, utes and normal vans. That covers the diagnostic, 2-part chemical clean & flush, forced regeneration and system reset. Trucks, heavy vehicles and mobile work are quoted individually. If we find another fault, Keith will call you with a quote before doing any extra work. Payment on completion, Afterpay available.

Is it worth getting a DPF cleaned?

Cleaning may be an option if the filter is suitable. We assess it first and explain whether cleaning or another repair is needed. Workshop DPF cleaning is from $650.

Can a fully blocked DPF be cleaned?

Often, yes — a heavily blocked filter can usually be restored if the core isn’t cracked, melted or full of ash. We confirm whether yours is safe to clean during the diagnostic.

How long does it take?

Most standard DPF cleans are ready by the end of the day, so it's a good idea to organise a lift when you drop off. If we find extra work or parts that need replacing, Keith will call you before going ahead. Mobile service is available by quote. Call to check your location.

Can I clean my DPF myself?

Follow your vehicle handbook for DPF warnings. If the warning persists, the vehicle loses power or a regeneration fails, arrange a diagnostic assessment before trying a fix.

Is DPF delete legal in Queensland?

No — removing or disabling a DPF is illegal for registered on-road vehicles in Queensland and across Australia, and can attract fines. Cleaning restores the filter legally, which is what we do.

How do I tell if my DPF needs cleaning?

Common signs are the DPF warning light, loss of power or limp mode, higher fuel use, and failed or constant regeneration cycles. If you’re seeing any of those, book before the blockage gets worse.
